Description

Editor’s Notes:  A one-of-a-kind piece pendant necklace which can be worn day or night. Layer with multiple necklaces or wear solo for a chic understated look.

Product Information: Used for decorative purposes as far back as 4000 BC in ancient Egypt, mother-of-pearl inlays made around 4500 BC were found within the ruins of Bismaya in Mesopotamia. In ancient Greece, the pearl was dedicated to Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love.

This chain necklace showcases a hand-carved mother of pearl amphora shaped pendant with gold finish chain. Beautifully presented in Maximos Jewellery packaging.

An amphora is a type of container of a characteristic shape and size, descending from at least as early as the Neolithic Period. Amphorae were used in vast numbers for the transport and storage of various products, both liquid and dry, but mostly for wine.
