Product Information:  According to Greek mythology, Poseidon (god of the sea) resided in a palace made of coral and gems, while Hephaestus (god of crafts) first crafted his work from coral. The trade of Precious Coral dates to the 1st millennium and it was highly prized as a substance believed to be endowed with mysterious sacred properties. Adored by the ancient Egyptians, the Romans especially believed coral could protect from harm.

This black rhodium finished chain necklace showcases a beautifully hand-carved coral shell shaped pendant. Presented in Maximos Jewellery packaging.
