Is cleansing oil worth it?

Cleansing oils are a type of multi-purpose face wash that simultaneously cleanse the skin, hydrate the complexion and remove make-up. 

A practice since Roman times, the oil cleansing method is highly effective to cleanse the face without stripping the skin of its natural moisture – purifying, while being less likely to irritate your skin, including acne-prone, dry and sensitive skin types.

A premium cleansing oil, Goddess Oil works at improving skin vitality and elasticity. Using Goddess Oil regularly will boost the effectiveness of your skincare products (on your face especially) and help to maintain healthy, glowing skin.

How To Cleanse Your Face With Goddess Oil

Cleanse with Goddess Oil in the evening, washing the day away before bed. In the morning you may like to use Goddess Water on the eyes/face or to mist after your usual beauty regime.

Step 1: Begin with your favourite Goddess Water to remove eye makeup. For heavy eye makeup use your preferred make-up remover or begin from Step 2.

Step 2: Wet your face cloth with hot water and place on your face/neck for 30 seconds, allowing the steam to loosen makeup/dirt and oils.

Step 3: With a few drops of Goddess Oil, gently massage using your fingertips into your skin for approximately 2 minutes.

Step 4: Follow with a clean warm damp face cloth to wipe off (or the reverse of the wash cloth used in Step 2). Use your favourite Goddess Water as a finishing toner/mist to hydrate and follow with your regular beauty routine (serum, night cream).

As a finishing touch, you can also apply a few drops of Goddess Oil with light massaging movements over the face/neck/chest after your night cream.

Should you oil cleanse every day? Once per day, in the evening. Oil cleansing provides a deep clean, so you may prefer to only implement the oil cleansing method every other day or even once a week. Evening is the best time to cleanse in order to remove impurities that build up throughout the day.

Additional Uses

Taking care of your skin is one of the best ways to practice self care. Indulge in that Goddess glow by using this multitasking hero before moisturiser (or between serum and moisturiser) and say goodbye to dull, dehydrated skin.

Goddess Face Oil:  Nourishing liquid gold face oil for all skin types, it will regenerate skin cells overnight by penetrating the skin without clogging pores.

-Goddess Night Oil: Use a few drops with light massaging movements on your face/neck/chest after your usual beauty regime.

-Goddess Day Oil: Use a few drops before moisturiser, or between serum and moisturiser.

You can also mix Goddess Oil with your foundation to create a more sheer look, as a dewy glow highlighter on cheeks and as a hydrating lip gloss.

Goddess Hands & Body Oil:  Goddess Oil strengthens skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of stretch marks and works to prevent skin peeling and cracking. A little goes a long way – so apply small amounts into the palm of your hand first and massage into the skin liberally. Use all over the body or concentrate on extra dry areas. For best results apply when body is damp after bathing, to lock in moisture. Great to use on hands daily, it is especially hydrating for cuticles and nails that are prone to cracking and peeling. It can also be used as nourishing After-Sun treatment.  Alternatively, mix a few drops of Goddess Oil with your favourite lotion to supercharge skin.

Goddess Hair & Scalp Oil:  Enrich dry hair, split ends and offer relief if you have dry scalp concerns.

-Goddess Hair Oil: Goddess Argan Oil is good for your hair – apply on dry or damp hair as a mask before washing, or just apply to dry/frizzy hair ends.

-Goddess Scalp Oil: Apply to affected areas with your fingers or small makeup brush to the scalp before bedtime, let it moisturise overnight and wash hair in the morning.
