A little history… Tuthmosis III was one of the greatest military leaders in antiquity and among the most impressive monarchs in Egypt’s history, creating the largest empire Egypt had ever seen. Scarabs were a symbol of rebirth, immortality, transformation and protection. The Egyptian god Khepri, Ra as the rising sun, was often depicted as a scarab beetle or as a scarab beetle-headed man. Primarily amulets, they were also inscribed for use as personal or administrative seals or were incorporated into jewellery.

Egyptian Faience: In Ancient Egypt objects created with Faience were considered magical… the blue/turquoise colour glaze linked to the undying shimmer of the sun and powers of rebirth. Egyptian Faience is the oldest known glazed ceramic and was first developed more than 6000 years ago in Mesopotamia.
