Editor’s Notes: Accentuating the natural irregular silhouettes of abstract baroque pearls, these statement earrings feature complimenting hammered 9k gold circles. A chic and organic look, they’re so light you’ll forget you’re wearing them at all.

Abstract shape fresh water pearl earrings. Hammered 9 karat gold circles.
Size and Fit: Total drop measures 7cm long. 9k gold hammered circles 2.2cm diameter. Baroque pearls 4.7cm long. Handcrafted 9k gold hooks for pierced ears.
One of a kind, hand-made by Claire van Holthe. Beautifully presented in hand-crafted black gift boxes with signature Ancienne Ambiance purple ribbons.
A little history… The Romans prized pearls more than diamonds. Coveted by the nobility ‘gems of the sea’ became Rome’s must-have extravagance in the 1st century B.C.

Claire van Holthe
Claire van Holthe has a passion for natural coloured gems and sources stones from around the world. Her hand-made designs, some reminiscent of ancient jewellery, are feminine, delicate and respectfully keep in mind the stones natural power and beauty. It is the stones cut and colour that interests Claire the most, she lets the stones speak for themselves and designs around their natural beauty.
In 2004 we commissioned London-based Dutch jewellery designer Claire van Holthe to make Ancienne Ambiance Jewellery incorporating ancient artefacts. We are now thrilled to showcase pieces from her Ancient Goddess inspired collection of one-off pieces.
