5 Minutes With Claire van Holthe Jewellery:
London-based Dutch jewellery designer Claire van Holthe creates stunning and intricate pieces, often inspired by ancient themes. We’re thrilled to offer her beautiful creations online, with further collections at our Chelsea boutique – while also hosting jewellery trunk shows in-store so you can meet her and commission work too.
Claire’s designs incorporate natural coloured gems and she sources these stones globally. Her work has been featured far and wide, including in publications such as Vogue, Tatler, Grazia and Sunday Times Style.
Claire’s exceptional eye for jewellery design shines through the pieces she creates and we love having her as a resident jewellery designer. Her collections fit so well with our creative inspiration and those reminiscent of ancient jewellery really work alongside the products we offer.
We took five minutes with jeweller Claire van Holthe, finding out about new season jewellery trends, holiday packing and her favourite Ancienne Ambiance product…
What are your top tips for wearing jewellery and accessorising?
I love layering necklaces and switching them according to my outfit. Also, a big pair of earrings can make a look go from day to evening with effortless style.
Do you have any advice for jewellery to take on your travels?
Pearls are easy to wear all year and turquoise is lovely in the Summer or for warm destinations. I don’t take really expensive pieces on holiday. Instead, fun pieces that are versatile and you can dance in!
Jeweller, Claire van Holthe
What do you enjoy most about trunk shows at Ancienne Ambiance?
I love doing trunk shows at Ancienne Ambiance. They’re always a fantastic chance to meet both clients and friends, plus I get to introduce special pieces I’ve been working on. Adriana (Ancienne Ambiance founder) throws the best parties.
What is your favourite Ancienne Ambiance product?
The Goddess Oil is my absolute fave. The best face oil to boost your skin, I can’t recommend it enough.
Which London hotspot would you recommend for city exploring?
Clifton Nurseries is Maida Vale is one of my favourite places in the world. It’s lovely for a spot of tea and a nose around all the exceptional plants.
Have you noticed any specific jewellery trends already arising for AW19?
